Happy New Year

Happy New Year to everyone.OK,I know it's a little late but as the saying goes "Better late than never". I've been busy with "Life" and I feel like I'm always behind in something. I know it's been 3 weeks since my last post.Wanted to start
the New Year out right. We always feel renewed or like we can start over and makes thing right in our life at the start of a brand new year.

Here I am and I'm already behind. But I've been working on getting my house decluttered and organized. I asked a friend from church to help me get started in my kitchen. She came over last Saturday. Boy she is good. She definitely has the eye to see what I can't see. Thanks so much Tammy. You are a blessing to me.

Well I'm hoping I can get my thoughts together to post about the online book study I've been doing with Heidi. However I'm behind in this too. I've been reading and studying it but I'm behind at getting it posted on my blog. I know I sound like a procrastinator. Ok I am. I admit it. But with the LORD'S help I will be able to change myself. More posts coming soon.

Merry Christmas

Well today was AWESOME!!! It started with me hearing my husband getting up out of bed a little before 7:00 this morning. He is always the first one up on Christmas Day. He is the biggest kid. He got up and put on the coffee and I soon followed. We were trying to wait for the kids to get up and come downstairs so we could open presents. So we waited and I turned on the Christmas music and made cinnamon rolls thinking by making some noise and the smell of the cinnamon rolls would wake up my kids. But no such luck. So I finally got them up by knocking on the walls and down they came.

Daddy past out the presents as he always does. This is one tradition he loves to do. He gets a lot of joy out of it. We had fun opening our presents and as always my husband spoils me. I can never seem to out do him. I am very blessed to have such a kind giving husband. Megan prayed over us and that was the highlight of the morning.
What a special privelege we have to be able to celebrate our Lord & Savior's birth today. I feel that my family is truly a GIFT from GOD!!!!

So after presents we dispersed, everyone wanted to play all their new games for the computer and Xbox. So I decided to start reading a book I got. Nights in Rodanthe. I didn't have any trouble getting into this book. Ohhh it's good. I did however have to stop and get our roast in the oven. George helped to. He has been so helpful lately. I'm loving it. So I went back to reading my book after we got that roast in the oven. It needed to cook about 2 1/2 to 3 hrs. Well when I got up to check on dinner I was surprised that I had read half the book already. Boy I'm on a roll.

We ate around 3:30.Our prime rib roast turned out fabulous. It had the best flavor and we devoured it. So while the kids cleaned up the kitchen I went back to reading my book. I can't put it down. We were planning on playing a game tonight and Megan was gonna make cookies. So I kept on reading. Well around 6:30 I finished my book. I can't beleive it. I have never finished a book in one day EVER. It's a good book but I don't recommend it for our daughter's to read. It's a romance novel by Nicholas Sparks. His books are very well written but still not based on the principles we are trying to raise our daughters on.

Hope every one had a very blessed Christmas.

Addictions

Ok, I confess. I do have ADDICTIONS. Before I confess I have to give credit where credit is due. I want to thank my Dear friend Heidi for nominating me for this award. She is the one who is inspiring me to keep on Blogging. I also want to thank God for brining us closer as friends.

Ok here are my 5 addictions: (I'm glad we only have to reveal 5)

1. Chocolate(anything sweet) - After eating lunch or dinner I always feel as if I need something sweet to eat.

2. HGTV - Yes I have to record all my shows. So when I ready to watch them I can speed right through those commercials. So really when I'm done watching them it was really only 15 minutes of my time instead of 30. Ha! How do you like that.

3. Shopping - Oh yes, I love to shop. It's funny though. When I have money to spend I can't find a thing. But when I don't have a lot to spend I see too much stuff I would love to buy.

4. Coffee - I LOOOVVE COFFEEEE!!! I have to have my coffee and shower first thing in the morning when I get up to get me going. If not I tend to get a little lazy.

Last but not least!!!

5. GOD - I don't know what I'd do if I couldn't worship my Lord & Savior when & where I wanted. I am very thankful he has given me my family to LOVE & SERVE.

There you have it!!! That wasn't so bad. Just need to keep on letting the Lord work on me everyday.

Ok I would like to pass this Blog Award onto:

1. My darling daughter Megan
2. Kaylee
3. Praise

Here are the rules:
1. Confess 5 things you are addicted to
2. Pass this award onto to 5 sisters if you can

"A Wife's Biblical Submission"

Well I'm wanting to start this online bible study but I need to write an article first to tell a little bit about myself. I'm new at this blogging thing so this is probably going to be short but sweet.

First of all I am truly blessed with a wonderful family. I am married to my best friend of 19 years (George) and have 2 teenage kids (Sean 18 & Megan 16) who I absolutely adore. They are one of the reasons I am wanting to start this bible study. I want to be a better wife, friend, and mother to my family. I know I need help in changing my ways and I can't do it myself. I now know I need my Lord and Savior to help me change and rid me of worldy self.

My friend Heidi is the one who found this bible study. So we decided we would do this together except I'm a few days behind in getting this done. I know I need to study and meditate on God's word in order for my heart to change and I think this bible study has the tools to help me grow stonger in my relationship with God.

There you have it. Short but sweet.

Sunny you are very inspiring to us all. God has blessed you. I can't wait to the end of this book study to see the work of God.
